Hi there, I’m Alex! I’m passionate about spreading kindness by building useful tools with code.

My journey into programming began at 13, over a school break back when I was living in Madagascar. I got completely hooked on a tutorial from the legendary SiteDuZero website (this one), reading it on an old Sony Ericsson phone with 2G internet access, no computer in sight and limited electricity during the day. But this experience planted the seed!

More than a decade later, I found myself naturally gravitating toward technical stuff. During my first internship in Spain, creating a simple Excel macro felt like magic to my peers! That experience made something click. Right after graduating from EMLYON Business School, I committed to learning Python and SQL, a decision that helped me land my first full-time job in an analytics role.

In that role, I soon realized that my coding skills could have an even broader impact. I put together a Python script to automate some reporting tasks and eventually scheduled it using the 2,000 free monthly minutes on GitHub Actions. Who knew a CI/CD tool could be so helpful that early in my journey!

As my enthusiasm for solving business challenges with code grew, I decided to learn web development. Being self-taught in JavaScript has given me an edge in creative problem-solving and a new way to bring cool solutions to my work. I’m now focused on making web development my career, and I’m eager to join a team where I can grow alongside a team who will raise my standards for what is expected of a web application, and help achieve shared goals.
